This guide provides a step-by-step walkthrough for manually installing an eSIM on your Windows device.
Prerequisites
Before you begin, make sure you have the following:
• A strong internet connection: Ideally, connect to Wi-Fi or ensure a good mobile signal.
• An eSIM compatible device: If you’re unsure about compatibility, check the List of Compatible Devices.
• An unlocked device: Confirm that your device is not locked to a specific network by reviewing our article on Locked/Unlocked Devices.
• SMDP+ Address and SMDP+ Activation Code: You will need this information to manually install the eSIM.
Installing an eSIM Manually
1. Open the Windows Settings app by clicking the Start menu and selecting the gear icon.
2. Select Network & Internet from the settings menu.
3. Click on Cellular and then select Add a cellular plan.
4. To manually install the eSIM, you will need to enter your SMDP+ Address and SMDP+ Activation Code in the format: 1$SMDP+ Address$SMDP+ Activation Code.
5. Click Download to start the installation process.
6. Follow the prompts to complete the eSIM activation process.
